Cleaning
I loaded the kids and met Matt at the farm this afternoon to sweep it out in preparation for the next phase of excitement. We timed it just right so that Jamie fell asleep for her nap on the way out there. With two brooms we got it cleaned up pretty quickly. The kids went up and down the stairs and played in the crawl space.
Then I took the kids home and Matt and I came back out and laid the plate for the upstairs walls. It was nice just to be there. The wind was blowing a bit and the tops of the trees were swaying a way that was so soothing. I just can.not.wait to be there all the time!

Slow, but Sure
This picture is the back of the house.
We're on our third set of framers. All the others were fired for different reasons. Sigh. It takes longer this way. We were kind of shooting for a move in date in August sometime, but that will probably not be the case. That's fine though. Things take longer when you are building out of pocket. It's all good.
Here is the front of the house. The windows need to be cut out still and the front porch needs to be put on.
And the upstairs from the girls room and the downstairs from the living room
And then I took this from one of the bedroom windows and thought to label it "Living the Dream." Life is really great!
We also walked to the lake and spend moments listening to the birds and watching the water spiders jumping on the surface. I just wanted to take a canoe out there and sit in the middle relaxing.
