House Update

Things are still happening on the house.
Matt is really doing so well on it considering that he is basically building most of it himself.
Travis come to help often but because of the financial situation with the insurance, Matt is doing most of it.
We have the roof mostly on and most of the walls built inside.
I am surprised at how patient I feel with all of this.
We are almost at the year mark since the burnt offering and I just feel calm about how long the house is taking.
I'm grateful for that.

Penny Turns Three

Cute little Penny turned three today.
We got to go to her party and celebrate with her.
She had a dinosaur themed party and just was so happy.
We watched her excitement as she opened her gifts and danced around the room and played with her friends and cousins.
I love this little granddaughter of ours so much!

Little Ginny

I started going to therapy and some unsettling memories came up from my childhood.
That's pretty normal, but I started to wonder if I was a happy child or not.
Since the house burned down all my photos perished and I decided that I would go to my dad's to see if there were any other pictures there that captured me.
I was so happy to see that I was a generally really happy kid.
There were no pictures with a devastated little girl and I was happy to see that.
It's been a healing experience to go through and dejunk my heart and I have found myself so grateful for inspired therapies and the Lord's healing hand.

And That's a Wrap

I love these ladies with so much of my heart.
Shaunna, Michie, Vanessa and Micah will always hold a special place there.
We have served as best as we could with all that was thrown at us and now it is done.
We were released tonight.
The only reason any of us were sad was because we are going to miss each other.
President White called us the Dream Team.
I would have to agree with him on that.
It's time to serve in other ways now, but I am so grateful for the three years I was able to serve in this calling and I learned from it.
