I have been painting as much as I can.

I just love creating things and I really feel like it is helping me work through my emotions with everything. 

This week I learned some techniques to let in color and how to better do tree trunks.

Stake YW's Conference

 

Today we did a stake YW's Conference for our girls. 

We had the idea some time ago and it turned out so good. 

The above picture is the art project that we did. 

Each girl was given a piece of the painting and did a paint by number without knowing what the final piece would turn out to be.

Then we assembled it all and it was Jesus.

We had the girl's write what it means to be a disciple of Christ to them around it.

It turned out so good. 

This was the only picture that we got, but the conference was great with the food, the classes, the music and this art piece. 

Seattle

 

I love that my job does these husband/wife conferences

This week we went to Seattle. 

We spent Valentines Day in the temple sealing couples together and children to their parents. 

I can't think of a more beautiful way to spend the day. 

We love rubbing shoulders with my colleagues.

Being with people who have totally consecrated their lives to the Lord is a wonderful experience. 

We laughed and cried and just had so much goodness over the three days. 

I can't wait until the next one.

Penny Surprise

 

This is a blurry picture but it is a wonderful one.

I came home from work and Penny was here! 

Sam was watching her for a couple of hours. 

She came up to the our area and hung out with me and Matt for awhile. 

The boys joined as well.

We don't get to see Penny much, so these are treasured moments.

She snuggled up close to me to watch me play on my phone.

I love this sweet girl.

I wish we got to see her more. 

 

Watercolor Therapy

 

I am finding that I currently want to watercolor and do nothing else. 

That is probably not a good thing, but it is such a great creative outlet for me. 

Yesterday I did this wave.

At first it looked like it was not going to turn out. 

I was disappointed. 

But then I added more white and  a little darker blue on the bottom and I like how it turned out now. 

I threw two other paintings away though, because I really didn't like them.

My Office

 

I decided to finally start doing some decorations for my office. 

I got pictures of all my people. 

Some are still on their way. 

I'm loving looking up at these faces while I work.

It makes me smile. 

I'm so grateful to have these people in my life.
