When Makenna was still in high school she told me that she wanted to go on a backpacking trip with just me.
Well, she's been out of high school for awhile now and we finally did it.
We hiked part of the gold mint trail in Hatcher Pass and it was so awesome.
We hiked about 12 miles total over two days.
We weren't really used to backpacking so we probably could have gone further if we would've been more accustomed to it.
The weather was sunny and warm and we just got the chance to get away from everything for a minute and relax and be together.
It was such a good time!
