When I woke up this morning I saw the sunlight hitting the trees in the backyard.
It was a beautiful sight after so much rain and I decided it was time to take this new heart valve for a test drive.
Makenna, my best hiking buddy, came with me.

Oh the beautiful, glorious smells of summer in Alaska.
It is the most amazing thing in the world.
Every year, when I first take it in, I remember how much I love Alaska...
in the summer!
It was a great hike.
