Barefoot Gardening

I decided it was time.
I was out planting and my boots were sweaty.
I kicked them off and pushed my toes into the dirt.
It was beautiful.
I may have planted too early.
We'll see how the plants do over night.
I also harvested green and red lettuce and kale.
This kale is AMAZING!
It's called Red Russian Kale and it is sweet and oh so yummy.
I then made a potato hash with the kale.
It feels like spring.
The lake is still frozen, we still have lake Hale in the front of the house, and there is still huge patches of snow all around the 40, but it will change overnight.
That is how Alaska does it.
