Independence Day Fun!

We live in this crazy time in the history of the world.
Basically the city of Wasilla cancelled all 4th of July events because of COVID.
So some citizens in Palmer decided that would not do and decided to put on a Freedom Festival.
The word didn't get out too much so it was small but I loved that.
There was a parade and food trucks and carnival rides.
The weather was incredibly hot but we loved it.
I got to snuggle baby Grace at the parade and then enjoyed ice cream, fish and chips and corn fritters.
Then we went to a BBQ at Travis' house.
It was actually a great day celebrating the freedoms that we enjoy and those that fought to give us those freedoms.
We also went to the river by Travis house and played in the water a little.
Only a little though because it was glacier cold.
