At the beginning of the summer I wrote a list of four things that I wanted to still do in Alaska:
Go to the Arctic Circle
Zipline in Hoona
Visit McCarthy/ Kennicott Mine
Kayak around glaciers
Well, we attempted the Arctic Circle at the beginning of the week, but it didn't go as planned.
Which is basically how things roll in Alaska.
We left Sunday afternoon to get a jump on the driving part.
My sister-in-law loaned us their motorhome which was so awesome of her.
We made it about an hour from home and found the road closed due to a wildfire- The McKinley fire.
We spent the night at LaDaSa which is the churches camp.
It was still totally fun.
We played Monopoly, did parts of the ropes course and ate watermelon.
We decided to attempt the road again the next morning.
