Utah Pilgrimage day 1

Where to begin?
Several months ago Matt said he wanted to take Dallin to the priesthood session of General Conference before he left on his mission. There was no way that I was going to miss an opportunity to go to conference and fulfill a bucket list wish!

Wednesday night we arrived at Anchorage airport for our flight to Salt Lake. We ended up having a 4.5 hour layover in Seattle where everyone took a moment to lay down and sleep and then we headed to Salt Lake.




















Once in Salt Lake we had several hours to kill before we could check into our hotel. We found a place called Moochies that had incredible sandwiches. That was the start of all unhealthy eating for the weekend. We also went to temple square and walked around. Everything was in bloom. It smelled so good and the grass was so green. Spring outside of Alaska is pretty amazing! We walked through the tabernacle and the assembly hall. They are incredible buildings.

We had a ton of fun walking around and spending time together.

For dinner we drove up to Layton to have dinner with Winnie and LaVor. Sundee also joined us. It is crazy how fast time goes. She used to babysit Dallin, Sam and Bri and now she has kids of her own and they are all grown. We also stopped at the Bountiful temple on our way to dinner.
